What kind of site is this??

i am new to this site and am having a hard time seeing if this is for ex-jws or jw's.

i am an ex jw but am wondering why i have been given the staus of "newbie" a term widely used in the congregations for new comers to the "truth".

now, if this is for people who have left and are trying to get back on their feet again, why on earth would such a variety of titles be given to members on here??

what is the wt publication you hated the most?

why did you hate it?

for me, it was probably that damn pink great teacher book.

Just as the information contained within the books is just a foogy memory, so are most of the titles, but two that stick in my mind are "Life Everlasting and Freedom of The Sons of God" and "Commentary on James" or words to that effect. Two shockers - but then again, they were all mind warping shit that made no sense.

in genesis 10;13/14 i think it is.it says that mizraim was the ancestor of the philistines,canaan was the father of the hittites.. mizraim was egypt.. how came both the hittites and philistines were indo-european speaking peoples,if their ancestors came from egypt/canaan.. incidentally the philestines came from greece.. can someone please explain?

trouble is i am a bit of a skimmer and suspect that i may sometimes miss out on the big news.

the thread about the un and ngo's was umpteen pages long before i even read it, yet when i did, wow!.

You surprise me, for I thought as a FA you would be scouring every topic.

I scan the site via the Active Topics - that way it covers all of the various sections. If I find the title of an interesting thread, or it has been posted by a favourite member, or responded to by such, then I will pay a visit.

To go, or not to go?

i'm planning a small vacation in about 2 month's time.

i'll be going back to the city where i spent my teens through twenties.

as you can imagine, this place holds a lot of memories for me-both good and bad.

Not been back for ten years? and no one knows that you have left the borg? I doubt whether they would care.

Let sleeping dogs lie. Why invite trouble by going back to the KH. Could the people there really be counted as friends? as you seem to have not had physical contact nor heard from them for quite awhile. Find something else more constructive to do while you are visiting your old home town.

It may be ethical for you to don a dress and attend a meeting, but it would certainly be a topic for conversation if I were to do the same.

For me to ever enter a KH again, I would either have to be dead or comatose.

i remember when there was a meeting for the ministry (at the time i was under consideration for being a ministral servent).

i took my boots off and had no socks on............i never heard the end of it .. also i must confess i recently celebrated my wifes birthday !!.

so what is the point of this thread ...........as a viewer of this board i have seen posts deleted.. and the reasons are a:b:c:.
